STATEMENT: Outcomes of the Free State ANC Leadership Summit
The day of the 2016 municipal elections has finally arrived; and polling stations, except for a very few, around the country have officially opened. The African National Congress (ANC) reaffirms its confidence in the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) to oversee a peaceful, legitimate, free and fair and incident-free election.
President Jacob Zuma yesterday visited the IEC Results Center in Pretoria and expressed confidence that polling would take place under strictly regulated conditions being administered by the IEC.
The African National Congress is going into the 2016 General Elections after waging a very successful and positive successful election campaign. The ANC has crisscrossed the length and breadth of our country. We have gone to every community – rural and urban, rich and poor. We have spoken to communities about the significant strides we have made together and our commitments for the future. This election, like the ones before it, is about people. It is about the ANC renewing our mandate to continue creating a better life for our people.

ANC CONGRATULATES PRESIDENT JACOB ZUMA ON THE OCCASION OF HIS 74TH BIRTHDAY
The African National Congress (ANC) congratulates Comrade President Jacob Gedleyhlekisa Zuma on the occasion of his 74th birthday. We salute him for his continued commitment in the service of the people of South Africa, Africa and the World at large.
The ANC Free State would like to make you aware of the ANC NWC programme that will brief structures on ConCourt judgement.
The purpose is to brief ANC structures on the ConCourt Judgement and organizational position. As committed by ANC Officials to engage everybody on those issues, esp, ANC membership to bring finality and explain to the people of the Free State
The details of the briefing are as follows:
The ANC Youth League (ANCYL) in the Free State is in full support of President Jacob Zuma. The ANCYL says that like any other reasonable person, President Zuma followed legal advice, just like any of us would do if we were in his position. He made an unintentional mistake more so that he has long agreed to pay back the money.
All former leaders that are calling for President Zuma to step down are mere opportunists, their time came and passed, they probably thought they’ll lead forever but unfortunately no one leads forever.
