The African National Congress (ANC) will convene its 54th National Conference at the Nasrec Expo Centre, Gauteng, from the 16th until 20th December 2017. As per Rule 10.1 of the ANC Constitution, the National Conference is the supreme ruling and controlling body of the ANC. The Conference is comprised of voting delegates and non-voting delegates, wherein at least 90% of the delegates at Conference are from branches, elected at properly constituted Branch General Meetings (BGMs).
Convened at least once in every five years, the National Conference decides and determines the policy, programme and Constitution of the ANC, elects the National Officials and additional members of the National Executive Committee.
Online applications for media accreditation to the Conference are now open until Friday, 24 November 2017. Members of the media are urged to apply through the ANC website or click on this link: http://www.anc.org.za/forms/media-accreditation-application-form
No late applications will be entertained. In this regard, only bona fide members of the media will receive accreditation. Successful applicants will be advised on the date and venue for collection of accreditation. To collect, members of the media will be required to bring their Identity Documents as well as media cards and/or a letter from the institution they represent.
